KW15 MANUAL

KW15 MANUAL

1. Product Overview

This manual covers the setup and use of the HAVIT KW15 Kids Smart Watch, a 4G-enabled device with GPS positioning, two-way calling, SOS emergency alert, step counting, photo/video calling, and more. It pairs with the HAVE KID app for remote management, location tracking, and contact control.

2. Preparations: Nano SIM Card Requirements

  1. Card Type: Only a standard Nano SIM card is supported. Do not use regular SIM cards, Micro SIM cards, or self-cut SIM cards—these may damage the device or cause recognition issues.
  2. Plan Requirements: The SIM card must support the 4G network, with an active data plan and voice call minutes. You may purchase a suitable plan from your local telecom operator. Contact customer service for pre-sales inquiries if needed.

3. SIM Card Installation

  1. Use the SIM eject tool to remove the SIM tray from the watch. Place the Nano SIM card into the tray with the chip side facing up, then reinsert the tray firmly into the watch.
  2. After installation, press and hold the watch’s power button to turn on or reboot the device. Wait for the signal to appear (failure to follow these steps may result in the watch not recognizing the SIM card).

4. Button Functions

The watch features 2 physical buttons with the following functions:
Button Operation Function Description
Button 1 Press and hold 5-6s Trigger SOS emergency alert
Button 1 Short press Wake screen / Return to upper menu
Button 2 Press and hold 5-6s Power on (power off requires SIM removal)
Button 2 Short press Lock screen / Wake screen

5. App Download & Installation

  1. Option 1: Scan the QR code on the original manual or packaging to download and install the JuniCare app.
  2. Option 2: Search for "JuniCare" on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, then download and install the app.

  • Compatibility: Supports iOS 11+ and Android 4.4+ systems.

6. Account Registration & Login

When launching the app for the first time, you must create a new account, or log in directly using your Apple ID or Google account.

7. Watch & App Binding

  1. After logging into the app, go to the home page and tap Add Watch, then select Start binding on the binding interface.
  2. Press and hold the watch’s power button to turn it on. On the watch’s main interface, locate the Reg Code (found on the second page of the watch menu or the label on the back of the device).
  3. Open the QR code scanner in the app, scan the Reg Code displayed on the watch to complete binding. A "Binding successful" notification will appear in the app once complete, allowing you to explore all features.

8. Binding Verification & Basic Settings

8.1 Verify Successful Binding

Navigate to the Find Watch function in the app. If the watch’s location and device status display normally, the binding has been completed successfully.

8.2 Contacts/Phone Book Setup

  • In the app, go to Settings > Phone Book/Contacts to add and save frequently used numbers (e.g., parents, family members).
  • Only numbers saved in the app will have permission to call the watch. It is recommended to add trusted contacts to prevent unsolicited calls.
  • Tap Save to confirm changes after adding contacts.

8.3 SOS Emergency Contact Setup

You can set 1-3 SOS contacts (e.g., Mom, Dad) in the app. Once configured, pressing and holding Button 1 on the watch will automatically call these contacts for emergency assistance.

9. Power On/Off & Basic Operations

  • Power On: Press and hold Button 2 for 5-6 seconds until the screen lights up.
  • Power Off: Remove the SIM card, then press and hold Button 2 for 5-6 seconds, or select Power Off in the watch’s Settings menu.
  • Unlock/Wake: Short press either button once to wake the screen, then follow the on-screen prompts to unlock.

10. Location Function Usage

  1. Ensure the watch has an active SIM card with data and signal, then power on the device.
  2. Open the JuniCare app and navigate to the Map/Location interface to view the watch’s real-time position.

Notes:

  • Indoors, the watch uses LBS or Wi-Fi positioning, which may have deviations based on distance to base stations and environmental factors—this is normal.
  • Outdoors, the watch automatically switches to GPS positioning (optional feature) for improved accuracy. Temporary instability during movement is not a product defect.
  • The watch enters sleep/power-saving mode automatically, which disables data upload. If location updates stop, refresh the map in the app or shake the watch to wake it.

11. Troubleshooting

Pre-Check

Before troubleshooting, confirm the following:

  • The SIM card supports GPRS/4G data
  • The watch can make outgoing calls
  • The SIM card is active (no overdue balance or suspension)

Issue 1: No signal after inserting the SIM card

  1. Verify the SIM card is a standard Nano card and supports 4G.
  2. Power off the watch, reinsert the SIM card correctly, then reboot.
  3. If the issue persists, contact your telecom operator to confirm the SIM card status.

Issue 2: "Cannot connect to network" when saving contacts in the app

  1. Check that the watch has signal and can receive incoming calls.
  2. Confirm the watch is powered on, the SIM card has an active data plan, and there is sufficient balance.
  3. Cross-check the IMEI number on the back of the watch with the device ID displayed in the app.
  4. If unresolved, send the SMS ts# to the watch’s SIM card number. Forward the reply message and the watch’s IMEI number to customer service for further assistance.

Issue 3: "The number you have dialed is busy" when calling the watch

  1. Ensure your number is saved in the app’s contacts (unsaved numbers cannot reach the watch).
  2. Check if Do Not Disturb is enabled in the app; disable it if active.
  3. Confirm the watch has stable signal and is not in a no-service area.

Issue 4: Time does not update automatically

After inserting an active SIM card with data, the watch will sync the time automatically within 1-3 minutes. If it does not update, reboot the watch.

Issue 5: Location function is not working

  1. Move to an open outdoor area (GPS signals are weak indoors).
  2. If the watch is in power-saving mode, refresh the location in the app or shake the watch to wake it.

Issue 6: Watch won’t charge or power on

If the watch enters battery protection mode due to low power:

  1. Try a different USB cable to rule out damage to the original cable.
  2. Press and hold the power button for 50 seconds, then connect the charger. The watch will display the charging status after 1 minute, and can then be rebooted.
  3. If no response, leave the watch idle for 2-3 days to let the battery recover, then reconnect the charger.

Issue 7: No sound during calls

Press the volume+ button on the watch during a call to increase volume. If there is still no sound, the speaker may be damaged—contact after-sales service for repairs.

Issue 8: Watch cannot receive incoming calls

Contact your local telecom operator to enable Caller ID display for the watch’s SIM card.

Issue 9: "Cannot connect" when making calls from the watch

Check if the watch screen displays GSM signal. If no signal appears, reinsert the SIM card or reboot the watch.

12. Other Functions & Settings

12.1 Remove SIM PIN Lock

If the watch displays a PIN lock after SIM installation, disable it in the app:

App > Settings > Security & Privacy > Set SIM Lock > Turn off "Lock SIM card"

12.2 Built-in Features

  • The device includes a microphone for calls/recording, a camera for photos/video calls, and a gravity sensor for step counting.
  • Roaming is enabled by default at the factory, requiring no additional setup.
