Safe Answer First
Disconnect the earbuds from power and remove detachable ear tips. Start dry: use a clean lint-free cloth and a soft, dry brush, keeping debris moving away from openings. Clean removable tips separately only when the manufacturer allows it. Do not put the earbuds back in their case until every cleaned part is completely dry.
Active cleaning time: usually 5–10 minutes. Drying time: follow the manufacturer's instructions; it can be much longer when any approved moisture-based method is used.

Five Safe Cleaning Steps
Step 1: Identify the model and read its care page
Confirm the exact earbuds, generation and ear-tip design. Check the manufacturer's page before using liquid, alcohol, putty or any tool near a mesh.
Step 2: Remove loose debris while everything is dry
Hold the opening so loosened debris can fall away from it. Brush gently across the surface; do not push bristles through the mesh.
Step 3: Clean removable ear tips separately
Detach the tips first. If the manufacturer permits rinsing, keep water away from the earbuds themselves and let the tips dry completely before reattaching. Foam and silicone tips may require different care.
Step 4: Wipe the shell, sensors and charging contacts
Use a dry lint-free cloth as the default. A dry cotton swab can help with accessible contacts when the model instructions permit it. Do not bend case pins or leave fibers behind.
Step 5: Dry completely before charging
Leave the earbuds and case open in a clean, ventilated place. If an approved damp method was used, follow the model-specific drying time. Never seal damp earbuds inside a charging case.

When to Stop
Stop cleaning and contact the manufacturer when debris is beneath the mesh, a contact is bent, corrosion is visible, liquid entered an opening, the battery becomes hot or swollen, or sound/charging does not recover after a safe surface clean.
